Description
The Charlotte Skirt features a versatile double-layer construction that allows the silhouette to be worn long and fluid or softly gathered using the internal drawstring. The upper layer can be lifted for added volume and drape, while vertical bias-cut panels on the front and back allow for natural soft fraying at the edges, an intentional detail that contributes to the garment’s character over time. Finished with side seam pockets, an elasticated waistband, and midi length.
Crafted from 100% Japanese cotton, the fabric is hand-dyed in the Enshu region using traditional techniques. Sun-drying in seasonal winds creates depth of colour, soft texture, and subtle variation, making every skirt unique.
The design draws inspiration from the layered fullness of Regency court dress.
