Description
The Maria Skirt features a full, flowing silhouette with an elasticated waistband and discreet side seam pockets. Appliquéd gathered and flounced detailing forms a swirling pattern across the skirt, creating movement and texture. The cloth is cut on the bias, allowing for natural soft fraying at the edges, an intentional detail that contributes to the garment’s character over time. Finished at a midi length for ease and elegance.
Crafted from a Japanese cotton–hemp blend, the fabric offers breathability with subtle structure, ideal for layered volume.
The design is inspired by Regency court dress and evening gowns, particularly the period after 1815 when decorative haberdashery became increasingly fashionable.
